Meas Setup Menu Meas ModePress this submenu key to open the Select Meas Mode list box to select between Single, Continuous, Average, Moving Average, and Max Hold measurement modes. Refer to “Meas Mode Settings”.Average CountPress this submenu key to open the Average Count Editor dialog box and set a count number. This count number sets the number of measurements that are included in the averaging calculations. The set range is displayed in the status bar. This submenu key is displayed only when Meas Mode is set to Average or Moving Average.Trigger SweepPress this submenu key to make a single sweep when Meas Mode is set to Single. This key has no function when the instrument is in continuous sweep mode.Auto Detect Parameter
On OffPress this submenu key to toggle the setting On and Off. The current state is underlined. When set On, the instrument automatically detects TPS and Mode, GI information from the input signal. Measurement begins when parameters are detected. For additional information, refer to “2K, 4K, 8K Modes and Guard Intervals”, “Automatic Detection of Parameters”, or “Digital Television Signal Analyzer Technology”.Detect Parameter OncePress this submenu key to manually detect TPS and Mode, GI information from the input signal. Measurement begins when parameters are detected. For additional information, refer to “2K, 4K, 8K Modes and Guard Intervals”, “Automatic Detection of Parameters”, or “Digital Television Signal Analyzer Technology”.Advanced SettingsPress this submenu key to open the Advanced Settings menu to continue setting up measurement parameters. When the instrument is set to BER mode, pressing the Setup main menu key opens the BER setup menu. Refer to “BER Setup (1/2) Menu (Option 57 Only)”.Sets up the test for one measurement. The instrument acquires the measurement and displays the results. This mode is useful for capturing screen images. Press the Trigger Sweep submenu key when ready to take a measurement.Sets up the test to take measurements continuously and display the results. The mode is helpful for real-time signal analysis.Sets up the test to mathematically average the measurement results for the specified number of measurements, as set with the Average Count submenu key.Moving AverageSets up the test to take the number of measurements that are set with the Average Count submenu key. An average result is calculated from those measurements and is displayed. Then another measurement is taken, and another average is calculated from the last number of measurements, as set in Average Count, and the display screen is updated. This mode is useful while aiming the antenna.Displays the measurement result that has the largest value. This mode is helpful for acquiring the maximum result, for example, when measuring off-the-air signals that are not stable. The Max Hold setting is available only for Signal Power measurements.
