Calibration Requirements
Anritsu recommends annual calibration and performance verification by local Anritsu service centers.
Verification
The PIM Master residual PIM performance is the key to repeatable and reliable test results.
Anritsu recommends testing the residual PIM at least daily prior to conducting cellular system tests using the optional Low PIM Termination (P/N 1015-68-R) and PIM standard (P/N 1091-390-R).
To check the residual PIM level use the optional PIM termination which has good PIM performance, and the optional PIM standard that has a calibrated PIM performance.
1.
2.
F1 at 1930 MHz
F2 at 2140 MHz
Power at 20W
Test Duration at 20 seconds
Refer to “PIM Analyzer (Option 419)” for details on setting the measurement parameters.
3.
Connect the Low PIM termination to the PIM Master TEST PORT and make a measurement by pressing the Measurement main menu key then pressing the
PIM Test submenu key.
The measured result should be better than – 110 dBm ⁄ 155 dBc.
4.
After the measurement is complete, connect the PIM standard to the Low PIM termination already connected to the PIM Master and make another measurement.
The result should be – 80 dBm ⁄ 123 dBc, ± 3 dB.
These checks are not calibrations and there are no field-adjustable components. To ensure consistently accurate measurements, the PIM Master should be returned to an authorized service center annually for calibration.
If your PIM Master does not show similar results, contact customer service at.
