Press the Application Self Test submenu key, then press the PIM Self Test submenu key. The PIM Master will run through a self-test and then display the device’s serial number, firmware version, and pass/fail status.

Disconnect the Anritsu handheld instrument and connect the PIM Master directly to the PC using the supplied USB cable. Turn on the PIM Master.

Windows may display a “New Hardware Found” message and open the New Hardware Wizard. Press the Cancel button. A USB driver update is not required for PIM Master firmware updating.

After download and extraction, open the PIMCodeLoader folder and run the PIMCodeLoader.exe program.

Press the PROGRAM button (Figure: “PIM Master MW8219A Connector Panel”) on the PIM Master to complete the connection of the PIM Master to the CodeLoader software. Device attached should display is the status field (Figure: “Connection Complete”) of the bootloader.

Press the Program/Verify button to update the PIM Master firmware. The current firmware will be erased and the new firmware will be installed and verified. Complete the process by pressing the Reset Device button.

Reconnect the Anritsu handheld to the PIM Master (Figure: “PIM Master Connection Diagram”) and confirm the firmware update using the PIM Self Test submenu key.
