Freq (Frequency) Menu
Key Sequence: Freq.
Press the Freq main menu key followed by the Carrier F1 submenu key and enter the desired frequency using the keypad, the arrow keys, or the rotary knob. If the frequency is outside of the range of the PIM Master model, Figure: “Carrier F1 or Carrier F2 Outside Frequency Range” will display. Enter a frequency within the acceptable range by referring to Table: “PIM Master Models”. Press ESC to clear the error message.
Press the Freq main menu key followed by the Carrier F2 submenu key and enter the desired frequency using the keypad, the arrow keys, or the rotary knob. If the frequency is outside of the range of the PIM Master model, Figure: “Carrier F1 or Carrier F2 Outside Frequency Range” will display. Enter a frequency within the acceptable range by referring to Table: “PIM Master Models”. Press ESC to clear the error message.
Select the 3rd, 5th or 7th order of intermodulation. The Anritsu handheld will automatically set the center frequency based on the new intermod.
Press the Freq main menu key followed by the Span submenu key and enter the desired span. The Span menu is used to set the frequency range over which the instrument will sweep. The span can be set from 1 kHz to 100 kHz. Reducing the span will lower the noise floor of the instrument. The default setting of 5 kHz is recommended for most measurements.
Use the keypad, the directional arrow keys, or the rotary knob to increase or decrease the span frequency. If the span is changed using the arrow keys, the span changes in 1-2-5 steps for each key press.
Displays Figure: “Parameter Setup Display”. This dialog box allows editing of the current carrier frequencies and carrier power. It also displays the intermodulations of the carrier frequencies.
