Spectrum analysis is option 49 for the MS464xB series VNAs and requires option 7. It is compatible with the ME7838 broadband/mm-wave systems, ME7848A optoelectronic systems and multiport systems.

Spectrum analysis uses the VNA receivers with a different processing mode to allow for the efficient display of broader spectral information and is particularly useful for observing harmonic and distortion content.
