Measuring Object
Select the format of the measuring object. If the signal to be measured has a frame structure, the part of the signal to analyze can be specified by setting the frame structure parameters.
Frame Formatted: Select if the measured signal has a frame structure.
Non-Formatted: Select if the measured signal does not have a frame structure.
If Non-Formatted is selected, the Frame, Slot, and Search parameters are not set. If frame specific analysis is not important, use the non-formatted parameter set.
The Parameter Setup provides defined parameter settings, measuring object setting, and dialog boxes that become accessible when the parameter buttons are selected. See Figure: Range for Sync Word Length (Modulation Type).
Parameter Settings

Standard
Provides a Standard Template list. Standard files are exactly like XML parameter files in file structure and parameter fields, but the values are preset to match specific standards. The predefined templates and descriptions are provided in Predefined Parameter Settings.
[None]
Indicates no standard templates are selected.
Measuring Object
Select Frame Formatted or Non-Formatted. See Set Standard Predefined Templates.
Reload
If a standard has been selected, and any parameter value changed, Reload will restore to the parameter values as defined by the selected standard.
Clear
Clears all parameter settings.
Save
Saves the current parameter settings, data file that was last used, and the last displayed view. Performs the same function as the Save Configuration button on the File menu tab.
Load
Loads the saved parameter settings, data file that was last used, and the last displayed view. Performs the same function as Save Configuration on the File menu tab.
Analyze
Initiate IQ data demodulation.

Press the Modulation button to show the Symbol Mapping for the selected Modulation Type as shown in Figure: Symbol Mapping Menu.

Symbol Mapping
This window displays the Symbol Mapping diagram of the modulation type. For a complete listing of the modulation type Symbol Mapping diagrams, see Symbol Mapping Defaults.
Symbol Rate
Capture OSR
Capture Interval
Sets Capture Interval (number of frames to capture) for one measurement. It is selectable only when set to Frame Formatted.
When set to No Formatted, Capture Interval is fixed to “1 Frame”.

Mapping Edit
 
Default
Change the parameters values to default settings.
If Frame Formatted is selected for the signal to be measured, change the Frame Formatted values to the defaults.
If Non-Formatted is selected, change the Non-Formatted values to the defaults.
Differential/Allocation and Symbol Data
This window displays the Differential/Allocation and Symbol Data for the modulation type selected. For a complete listing of the modulation type Differential/Allocation and Symbol Data diagrams, see Symbol Mapping Defaults.
