Key Sequence: Configuration
Signal Setup
T3 Signal Setup (1 of 2)
Test Mode
While in DS3 test mode, select DS1 to change modes.
AUTO
DS1
Press this submenu key when connected to a 1.5 MHz T1 circuit.
DS3
Press this submenu key when connected to a 45 MHz T3 circuit.
Line Code:
B3ZS
Press this submenu key to select B3ZS line coding.
AMI
Press this submenu key to select Alternate Mark Inversion (AMI) line coding.
Tx Clock:
Internal
Press this submenu key to select the internally generated Tx Clock.
Recovered
Press this submenu key to select a clock signal that is recovered from the receive path.
Tx LBO:
Low
Press this submenu key to test the signal near the Base Transceiver Station (within 225 feet).
DSX
Press this submenu key to select a signal configuration in order to test at the cross‑connect point (more than 225 feet).
 
 
 
T3 Signal Setup (2 of 2)
Rx Input:
Terminate
Press this submenu key to select terminate mode. This terminates the circuit in 75 ohms.
Monitor
Press this submenu key to add + 20 dB gain to the receive path.
Framing:
M13
Press this submenu key to test the M13 framing format.
C‑Bit
Press this submenu key to select the C‑bit parity format, which redefines the use of the C‑bits in the M13 frame, thereby making it possible to provide in‑service, end‑to‑end path performance monitoring of the DS3 signal and in‑band data links.
Unframed
Press this submenu key to select testing without any framing format. The full pattern is transmitted without any formatting. No fractional T1 or subrate testing can be performed when unframed is selected.
 
Payload Setup
The Payload Setup identifies which portion of the T3 data stream is to be accessed for testing.

Press this submenu key to select and test a data stream that has been reduced in size as a result of bit robbing.

Press this submenu key to select 2 consecutive bits for testing within a single 64 kb channel.
