The Interference Analyzer (IA) SPECTRUM mode of SPA application assists you in finding the source of interfering signals with the use of MA2700A handheld InterferenceHunter, GPS receiver, and directional antenna. Note that it is required to enable the GPS receiver in the GPS settings of the instrument. Refer to GPS/GNSS settings of the product’s user guide. With the MA2700A, a vector line to an interfering signal can be added to a map in the instrument with a click of the trigger on the handle.
A basic understanding of the measurement concepts presented in
Spectrum Analyzer Overview is recommended before performing the procedures in this chapter. Refer to the instrument’s user guide to get a better understanding of the user interface and for additional information system operations. Refer to the following sections for a better understanding of the SPECTRUM ANALYZER mode:
IA SPECTRUM mode includes the use of additional functions beyond frequency, span, amplitude, and marker functions. Refer to
Setting Up Advanced Measurements through
Interference Polar to cover field measurements and additional smart measurements provided by these newly added modes such as interference map and interference polar.
