The analyzer does not automatically load the Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) image that supports PCIe data transfer during power up. The analyzer detects when it is connected to an active PCIe card and will prompt to load the image. Loading the FPGA image will cause the analyzer to reboot. The PC must be started after the analyzer fully reboots and begins sweeping. This means that the PC must also be powered up or rebooted after the analyzer is set up properly.
It is important that the analyzer already be connected and running in the supported mode. If you turn on the analyzer after the PC, it will not be found on the PCIe bus. Use the following power-on procedure to connect the PCIe card to the spectrum analyzer.
1. Power up the analyzer and wait for it to start sweeping.
2. Set the MS2090A or MS27201A with the MA25101A PCIe card as follows.
• IQ Capture Mode: Streaming
• Output Port: Data Out
• Data Out Format: PCIe
3. Turn on the PC and launch the IQ Signal Master MX280005A Vector Signal Analysis Software as described in Installing MX280005A.
Check the IQ Signal Master MX280005A Vector Signal Analysis programs Capture menu to confirm connection has been established. See Capture Menu.
