The signal generator provides Amplitude Modulation (AM), Frequency Modulation (FM), Phase Modulation (ΦM), and Pulse Modulation (PM) of the output signal using modulating signals from either the internal AM, FM, ΦM, and pulse generators or external sources that are TTL-compatible. FM and ΦM can not be on at the same time; therefore, only the AM, FM or ΦM, and Pulse Modulation modes can be active simultaneously. The following paragraphs provide descriptions and operating instructions for each modulation mode.
