Button Availability, Button Naming, and Menu Appearance
As shown above in the table and figures, the number of buttons, the button names, and the menu appearance varies depending in the instrument model number and the installed options.
The APPLICATION menu can be conveniently divided into the following the following groups:
Instrument mode selection
Receiver configuration
Receiver and VNA configuration setup.
In general, the receiver configuration is selected first, and then the setup for that configuration completed. Each is briefly described in the sections below followed by a cross reference to a full chapter description of each mode and control group.
As mentioned in the chapter introduction, due to length, the APPLICATION menu mode and configuration selections are described by major function in the next five chapters:
Application Menus - Multiple Source
Application Menus - Overview
Application Menus - Overview
Application Menus - Mixer Setup
Application Menus - NxN
A summary of the button selections for each menu variant is in the section below with a cross reference to the chapter with the detailed description.
