Introduction
This chapter provides details and procedures for calibrating the Cable-Antenna Analyzer modes of the Site Master S331L. Topics include calibration options Internal InstaCal, External Open-Short-Load (OSL), Transmission using External Sensor, Standard Cal, and Flex Cal.
Anritsu recommends connecting a phase-stable test port cable (3 meters maximum length) to the RF Out/Reflect In connector and calibrating at the open end of the cable using the Site Master S331L internal InstaCal or external OSL components. Calibrating at the end of the test port cable will remove ripple and loss associated with the cable. Using a phase-stable cable allows the cable to be physically moved without affecting the measurement.
