The :CALCulate{1-16}:DNFigure subsystem commands configure and support differential noise figure measurements (and related measurements for multiport DUTs). This encompasses Option 48 Differential Noise Figure and multiport noise figure.
Note
These commands can only be used for Differential Noise Figure (Option 48).
For a 2-port system:
• RCVR1 implies B1
• RCVR2 implies B2
For a 4-port system:
• RCVR1 implies B2
• RCVR2 implies B4
For a 4-port system in 3739 mode:
• RCVR1 implies Port2
• RCVR2 implies Port4

Description
Sets the receiver channel to use for the 2-port DUT for the indicated channel.
Returns the current receiver channel used for the 2-port DUT for the indicated channel.
Sets the de-embedding network file path for the active receiver for Noise Figure network extraction on the indicated channel.
Returns the de-embedding network file path for the active receiver for Noise Figure network extraction on the indicated channel.
Allowed file types are .s2p, .s3p, .s4p. For information on how the paths within these files are used, see the Calibration and Measurement Guide, Differential Noise Figure chapter.
Sets the embedding network file path for the active receiver for Noise Figure network extraction on the indicated channel.
Returns the embedding network file path for the active receiver for Noise Figure network extraction on the indicated channel.
Allowed file types are .s2p, .s3p, .s4p. For information on how the paths within these files are used, see the Calibration and Measurement Guide, Differential Noise Figure chapter.
Sets the de-embedding network file path for the given receiver used for Noise Figure network extraction on the indicated channel.
Returns the de-embedding network file path for the given receiver used for Noise Figure network extraction on the indicated channel.
Allowed file types for B1 receiver are .s2p, .s4p. Allowed file types for B2 receiver are .s2p. The B2 receiver file will only be used if the file path provided for B1 receiver is of type .s2p. Note that if .s4p is used for B1, the portion of that file that will be used for B2 is the one path disjoint from that selected for B1.
Sets the de-embedding network file path from the sNp file provided for B1 receiver for Noise Figure network extraction on the indicated channel.
Returns the de-embedding network file path from the .s4p file provided for B1 receiver for Noise Figure network extraction on the indicated channel. (The disjoint path is used automatically for the B2 receiver.)
The following command must be sent before setting the network file path:
Sets the embedding network file path for the given receiver used for Noise Figure network extraction on the indicated channel.
Returns the embedding network file path for the given receiver used for Noise Figure network extraction on the indicated channel.
Loads the data for the 4-port DUT for Noise Figure for the indicated channel. Allowed file types are .s3p .or .s4p.
No query.
Note that if the DUT is 3-port with two output ports, the .s3p file is the preferred selection. If a 3-port DUT has two input ports, it is best to treat this as a 2-port DUT.
Cmd Parameters
<string> Filename and path in the form: 'x:\directory\filename.s3p' where x:\directory\filename.s3p must exist or
Loads the s-parameter data from a .txt file for the 4-port DUT for Noise Figure for the indicated channel.
No query.
Note that if the DUT is 3-port with two output ports, the .s3p file is the preferred selection. If a 3-port DUT has two input ports, it is best to treat this as a 2-port DUT.
Reassigns the given port for the .s3p/.s4p file loaded for the 4-port DUT for Noise Figure for the indicated channel.
Returns the port assignment for the given port for the .s3p/.s4p file loaded for the 4-port DUT for Noise Figure for the indicated channel. For .s4p, the dominant gain paths are expected to be S31 and S42. For .s3p, the dominant gain paths are expected to be S21 and S31.
Sets the combiner measurement type for the indicated channel. Combiner measurement is available when the DUT configuration is 4-port and noise figure method is output combiner.
Returns the noise figure combiner measurement type for the indicated channel.
The Double type is more complete and can correct for arbitrary DUT correlation behavior. The Single type requires one less measurement, but assumes the DUT output correlation is predominantly real.
Loads the Combiner data for the 4-port DUT for Noise Figure for the indicated channel. The common node of the balun in this file is assumed to be port 3. Use the reassign command for different configurations.
Reassigns the given port for the Combiner .s3p file loaded for the 4-port DUT for Differential Noise Figure for the indicated channel.
Returns the port assignment for the given port for the combiner .s3p file loaded for the 4-port DUT for Differential Noise Figure for the indicated channel.
Returns the state of whether the 4-port DUT Differential Noise Figure Combiner mode Single-ended Noise measurement for the indicated channel was taken successfully and the data is being applied.
Returns the 4-port DUT Differential Noise Figure Combiner mode Swapped Noise Data for the indicated channel. This is the extra measurement needed for the Double measurement type. The DUT connections to the combiner should be swapped from normal for this measurement.
Returns the state of whether the 4-port DUT Differential Noise Figure Combiner mode Swapped Noise measurement for the indicated channel was taken successfully and the data is being applied.
